Loch Ness FC unleash new Nessie football kit

A football club named after one of Scotland's most famous lochs has recently unveiled its new strips and it's safe to say that all three are absolute crackers.

Loch Ness F.C., who have only just gone semi-professional after joining the North Caledonian League, went viral after the strips - which feature a design that includes Nessie - were shared online.

The Highland club have now been inundated with enquiries and received orders for their 2020/21 home, away and recently unveiled third shirts, from all over the world.

And it could prove a life-saver for the small team which, much like the rest of Scottish football, has been hit by the recent covid-19 outbreak.

The black home kit features golden hoops with miniature Nessies, while the white away kit has a larger golden monster motif emblazoned across the front.

The recently released eco-friendly third kit, which is made from recycled plastic, has a deep blue fading to a lighter one and Nessie popping up along the bottom.

It's the first time their Loch Ness Monster motif - which usually sits above their club badge - has featured on the strips directly.

All three are available to pre-order for £39.99 from the team's online shop, with Moving Forward Sports producing the home and away shirt, while a partnership with Zero Negativity clothing has resulted in the eco-friendly third kit.

The Nessie themed strips are proving so popular that they've been featured on BBC Breakfast and even had the Match of the Day Twitter account dub the shirts some of the best they'd ever seen.

In response to one football fan's query, the club even revealed how they look without the sponsor.

LNFC have been involved in the local Inverness amateur league for 20 years and were founded in 1999 by Shane Carling, who at the time was the youngest manager to ever enter a team into the league.

Shane explained that they've had orders from countries as far away as Canada, he said: "The response so far has been astonishing, with order coming from USA, Canada, Netherlands, Germany and more. We can't thank fans enough for buying the shirts."
