Loch Lomond has been named Scotland’s most ‘Instagrammable’ loch.
Research analysed the Scottish lochs with the most tags on social network Instagram, with 457,000 images uploaded tagging Loch Lomond - meaning that it pipped Loch Ness in the Highlands to the top spot by just over 40,000 votes.
Local lochside beauty spots have also proved popular on the video sharing social network TikTok according to the findings, from Macklin Motors, with more than 11.8 million views of clips tagged Loch Lomond.
Every year an estimated four million visitors visit Loch Lomond, making it Scotland’s most popular tourist attraction. It’s estimated that the stunning natural beauty is worth more than £800m annually to the country’s economy.
