Coronavirus testing sites across Dundee and the wider area will close for a short time later this month to prepare for winter weather.
NHS Tayside has warned that the local sites - four of which are in Dundee - will shut to allow for "essential upgrades and winter preparation works " over the next three weeks.
Six PCR testing sites will be affected by the works. Outside of these closures, the sites will operate as normal from 8am until 8pm.
Each is operated by the UK Government, independently from the local NHS board.
In a statement, NHS Tayside said appointments can be made for different testing sites if the closest one is not available.
Which sites are closing, and when?
The sites that will be closed are as follows:
- Bruce House, Arbroath - Thursday November 4
- Kirkton Community Centre, Dundee - Monday November 8
- Dudhope Castle Car Park, Dundee - Tuesday November 9
- Park Place, Dundee - Wednesday November 10
- South Road, Dundee - Thursday November 11
- Thimblerow Car Park, Perth - Friday November 19
The health board said: "Anyone who needs to book a test on days when the sites are closed will be offered an appointment at the next nearest available location.
"Anyone who is unable to travel to another location can order a PCR test to be delivered to their home or may choose to wait one day for their preferred site to reopen."
PCR tests are only suitable for people showing symptoms of Covid-19. Common symptoms are a high temperature or fever, a new continuous cough or a loss of or change in sense of smell or taste.
They differ from lateral flow tests, which can be ordered for free from the GOV.UK website and are used to test for asymptomatic Covid-19 - where the virus is present but does not show any symptoms.
