Residents of a north Kildare town were warned to be careful after a huge swarm of bees descended on the Main Street.
Thousands of the winged stingers were spotted gathering around a flower pot outside a bookmakers in Celbridge this morning.
Local Jolanta Rossiter shared an amazing picture of the striped honey makers on a local Facebook group and urged people to be wary as they approach the area.
She said: "Bees swarming this morning on flower pot outside Paddy Powers on Main St. Be careful!"
The bees were later trapped and moved to a safe location by a local who runs a rescue service for the insects.
But as one quick-witted joker quipped: "There are more people stung inside Paddy Powers than outside Paddy Powers."
