Locals were left "terrified" after a number of cars were badly damaged during an early morning fracas in west Dublin.
The frightening incident took place at around 1am this morning in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.
It's understood the disturbance broke out at a home in the area before spilling out on to the street.
A witness told Dublin Live a car then arrived at the scene and a group of armed men got out.
A number of cars were damaged as the two gangs engaged in a running battle on the street before gardai arrived at around 2:30am.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live one man was arrested at the scene.
He said: "A male in his 20s was arrested in relation to this incident and has was subsequently released pending administration of an adult caution."
