Locals devastated as Texas Fried Chicken in Crumlin, Dublin announces it's closing down after 30 years

A popular South Dublin restaurant has announced it will close its doors forever after 30 years of service in the area.

Texas Fried Chicken in Crumlin took to Facebook to say that after three decades it will be shutting up shop for good on January 2.

In a post, they said: "We are closing our doors for the last time tomorrow. Thanks for your custom for the last 30 years."

They did hint at a possible return to business in the future by concluding: "Hope to be back in Crumlin soon."

Dubliners from far and near were devastated to hear of the store's closure and posted underneath the statement sharing their fond memories of the place.

One local said: "So sorry to hear this. I've being going to TFC for the last 30 years and it's always been the nicest and tastiest chicken bar none. It would put even the top class restaurants to shame. Will miss you terribly.
I think I'm probably one of your oldest customers."

A second added: "We're only one day into 2020 and my year is already ruined. Sad to hear this.

A third commented: "I'm devastated and my young fella will be sobbing tonight as this is his favourite place to eat."

Texas Fried Chicken closes its doors on Thursday January 2 at 6pm if you fancy one more last supper from the place.
