Detectives probing the raid of a shop in Falkirk are asking residents nearby to check personal CCTV and Ring Doorbells for suspicious activity.
It's understood cops are on the hunt for a getaway car after thugs broke in to the ScotMid store in Carronshore Road, Carronshore.
Details about the make and model of the vehicle have not been made public.
Officers were first alerted to the incident at around 2:30am on Tuesday, August 23.
A woman who lives in the street has told how she was awoken by the sound of a car screeching out the street.
She told Falkirk Live: "I heard the noise of shutters opening and thought it was a bit odd, but then thought it might have been the milk or roll man.
"I then heard doors on a vehicle being closed, so guessing there must have been a few of them there.
"A few seconds later an alarm went off, so I got up and looked outside, but I couldn't really see anything as I live further along Carronshore Road.
It was quiet for a little while apart from the alarm going off and then I heard the doors of a vehicle being slammed shut.
"It then revved its engine and went screeching out of the street at speed."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are checking CCTV images for any additional information which could assist the investigation but we are unable to confirm any specific vehicle details at this stage.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
