Local soccer team make touching tribute to tragic Dublin stabbing victim Azzam Raguragui

A Dublin soccer team paid a touching tribute to teenager Azzam Raguragui who was stabbed to death in a nearby park.

Dundrum-based Rosemount Mulvey held a minute's silence before their last game of the season on Saturday.

The club have just won their second successive league and cup double, which they dedicated to young Azzam, Dublin Live reports.

Sharing a moving tribute on their Facebook page, they noted that the 18-year-old had died just hours earlier, "only a few hundred yards away" from their Rosemount home pitches.

"Today our club won our league to round off a second successive league and cup double.

"We wish to dedicate this victory to the memory of the child who passed away yesterday only a few hundred yards away.
