A famous pub in Wishaw has been given a new lease of life following a major makeover.
Situated at the foot of Hill Street, Girdwoods Bar has been a town favourite for just over 20 years.
Now re-opened with a lavish makeover, the bar is set to remain a hit in the town for many more years to come.
Complete with a new bar area, seats, refurbished lounge and even a new door, the extensive works brighten the bar up for punters.
Situated right beside the train station, it is hoped the new-look bar will draw people in from all over, not just Wishaw.
Maura McLauchlin, manager, said: “We absolutely love the work that has been done.
“It has been needed for a long while so to have it all finished and open to customers is amazing.”
The bar has also become famous for its live music nights every weekend, even having Warren Capaldi (Lewis Capaldi’s brother) playing a couple of weeks ago.
“People can expect live music every Friday and Saturday in Girdwoods”, Maura added.
“We have started booking some really good acts so we hope to attract more than just the regulars.”
