A group of musicians from critically-injured Liverpool football fan Seán Cox’s hometown of Dunboyne, Co Meath, have come together to produce a moving rendition of Liverpool fan’s favourite ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.
All proceeds from the charity single will be donated to the Seán Cox Rehabilitation Trust which was established to raise much-needed funds for Seán’s future care.
The 54 year-old father of three was left with life-changing injuries after an unprovoked attack before a Champions League semi-final in Anfield in April 2018.
Gerry Hannigan, Dunboyne businessman and amateur musician along with Andrew Bass of Central Entertainment Bureau are the driving forces behind the "YNWA - A song for Sean project".
Commenting on the release, Gerry Hannigan said: “This was a special project for all of us involved, especially as Seán is such a popular personality in the Dunboyne community and a close friend to many of us.
"I would like to extend our well wishes to Seán and his family, and to thank all of the musicians, singers and people involved in the production who gave so generously of their time in bringing this special rendition of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ to life”.
