Local man wins award at construction awards.

A West Lothian man has picked up an award at a prestigious construction industry ceremony.

Billy McCallum is a site manager for CALA Homes (West) and has been named as the only Scottish National Winner at the industry’s top health and safety awards – picking up Best Site in the Large Builder category.

More than 450 sites from all across the UK were entered, with only three national winners selected, and Billy was one of the chosen few.

The 30 year old former pupil at Armadale Academy is highlt regarded in is field and last year was awarded Highly Commended status at the NHBC Health and Safety Awards.
