Local legend Paddy Drac given perfect send off as The Monster Mash played before funeral

Much-loved local hero Paddy Finlay was given the perfect send-off this morning as The Monster Mash blared out before his funeral this morning.

Finlay, better known as Paddy Drac, was a well-known Dublin figure who marched in the St Patrick's Day parade dressed as Dracula for 50 years.

The Tallaght native died on Saturday afternoon after a short battle with cancer.

Tributes pour in for legendary Dubliner Paddy 'Drac' Finlay who sadly passed away following his short battle with cancer  

The former undertaker also engaged in a huge amount of charity work throughout his life, Lifetime Achievement Award at the Tallaght Person of the Year Awards in 2016.

His widow Breda led the mourners at St Dominic's Church in Tallaght.

Famous pals including comedian Syl Fox and hotelier Louis Fitzgerald also turned out to pay their respects to the popular Dub.

Paddy was laid to rest at Newlands Cross Cemetery following this morning's funeral mass.
