Local groups urged to apply for funding after Santa's sleigh visits Stirling

Charities and community groups are being urged to apply for a share of grant funding offered by a Stirling community organisation.

Stirling and Bridge of Allan Round Table have been busy in recent months running a number of fundraising campaigns, with the aim of supporting projects and causes helping communities based around the region.

Their most recent efforts saw the Round Table raise more than £5,000 in their Santa’s Sleigh campaign, which saw Santa and his sleigh visiting neighbourhoods including Cornton, Causewayhead and Bridge of Allan spreading some festive cheers to locals.

People were able to follow Father Christmas’ route as he made his way around the streets by sharing his location on the Facebook page, with collection buckets and an online page for locals to show their support.

With a successful 2021 of fundraising in the rear view mirror, the team behind the Round Table are encouraging those aiming to do good in the area to get in touch for some vital financial backing.

The closing date for applications to secure Round Table funding is the end of January, with the members meeting over the following months to discuss what projects they are able to support and where the money can be put to best use.

The application forms can be accessed on the organisation’s website at stirlingboaroundtable.co.uk/
