Local Election 2021: Find your nearest Leeds polling station

Voters are heading to the polls up and down the country for the local elections on Thursday, May 6.

The original May 2020 elections were postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, the postponed elections take place alongside those scheduled for this year.

This means many eligible voters in England will have multiple ballots taking place at once, in a far larger election than usual.

Leeds voters are choosing who will represent them on Leeds City Council, and are also voting for the first-ever West Yorkshire Mayor.

In total, Brits will vote for 143 councils, 39 police commissioners, 13 mayors, the Scottish and Welsh parliaments, the London Assembly, and a new MP for Hartlepool.

But what if you're not sure where your nearest polling station is?

How to find your nearest polling station

All eligible voters should have received a polling card for the local election, which will tell you which constituency you live in and where your polling station is.

Each area is divided into different wards, which are similar to parliamentary constituencies but on a smaller scale.

But don't worry if not, click on the tool below, to find out where your constituency is.

You can vote without your polling card.

Voters are reminded to follow social distancing rules, keep two metres apart from other voters, and wear a face covering unless you have a medical exemption.
