Local election 2019: South Gloucestershire Council results in full as Conservative Party maintain control

The Conservative Party has managed to keep control of South Gloucestershire Council.

But it was a tough night for the Tory party, as well as a disappointing one for Labour.

While the Liberal Democrats made inroads into the Tory majority, the Conservatives survived as the ruling party.

The Conservative Party won 33 seats with 42% of the vote, the Liberal Democrats won 17 seats with 32% of the vote and the Labour Party won 11 seats with 21% of the vote.

The Green Party did not win any seats, but recieved 2% of the vote. The United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) did not win any seats, but received 2% of the vote, and no Independent seats were won, although Independent councillors won 1% of the vote.
