Local cricket: Caldy CC's mission to raise £10k to help club recover from Covid

Love Lane Liverpool Competition Division Two champions Caldy are holding their centenary ball as part of a fundraising effort to raise £10,000.

The fund - which closes at the end of the month - is currently at around £6,500. To help with the final push for the line, which will unlock match-funding from Sport England, a number of unique items are on sale online.

These include ceremonial caps and hand-crafted gin - alongside raffles for Lancashire T20 tickets, discounts at more than 100 Wirral businesses and more.

“The fund is to help us recover from Covid and kick the club into the 21st century,” said club chairman David Brown.

The centenary dinner will feature live music, a three-course meal and a DJ. Attendees must be over 16. Tickets are £50 or £450 for a table of 10, via tinyurl.com/cc742xuj.
