Lob City 2.0? NBA fans are excited at possibility of Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan reuniting with Nets

OK, look: nothing has happened yet except the Detroit Pistons buying out Blake Griffin, which means the six-time All-Star forward can join a contender.

The favorites, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania, are the Brooklyn Nets, which makes the most sense given how they’re among the front-runners to win a title and they can use the depth and Kevin Durant insurance.

The fun twist there? It would reunite Griffin with DeAndre Jordan, bringing back two of the members of the Lob City Los Angeles Clippers together (hey remember that time Griffin and his teammates convinced Jordan not to join the Dallas Mavericks in the Great NBA Emoji Battle of 2015? Wasn’t that the best?).

Here’s some reaction from Twitter at the possibility:

Do it, Nets. I don’t care that Jordan and Griffin aren’t quite the same high-leaping players they once were. We know they can have fun.
