Nottingham Forest have dropped a hint about Anthony Knockaert’s future at the City Ground.
The French winger played the last game of his initial loan spell from Fulham in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Preston North End.
His loan deal is due to expire on Thursday. When asked about Knockaert’s future after Saturday’s game, manager Chris Hughton was non-committal.
But pictures published on the club website of the Reds players training on Tuesday included Knockaert, suggesting he could be poised to extend his loan spell.
Release fee emerges for winger linked with Forest
Nottingham Forest continue to be linked with Anderlecht winger Francis Amuzu.
The 21-year-old, who can operate on either flank, is managed by Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany at the Belgian giants.
The Ghana-born Belgian, who has represented his country at both under-19 and under-21 level, was first linked with the Reds last month.
German sides Mainz and Koln, Dutch outfit AZ, and Evangelos Marinakis-owned Olympiacos were also credited with an interest in Amuzu.
A fresh report by Sports World Ghana claims Forest have made an offered for the player which is being considered by Anderlecht.
Forest 'agree' terms with club over defender's departure
Nicholas Ioannou’s Nottingham Forest departure is on the brink of being confirmed – just over three months since he signed for the Reds.
The Cyprus defender hasn’t figured for Forest since being sent off in the 1-1 draw at Luton Town on October 28.
Ioannou has been strongly linked with Greek club Aris Thessaloniki and this afternoon Hellas Football reported that the two clubs had agreed terms over a transfer.
Striker returns to Forest after unsuccessful loan spell
Virgil Gomis has returned to Nottingham Forest after an unsuccessful spell at Grimsby Town.
The 21-year-old striker joined the Mariners on a season-long loan in October, but is back with the Reds after failing to score in six appearances.
Ian Holloway signed Gomis, saying at the time : “I've had a look at him a bit now and if you look at his record when he has been out on loan, it's not as good as the 23s, but both Gary Brazil and (on-loan Forest defender) Danny Preston believe that he will respond very well to me.
Forest fans sceptical over transfer claim
Former Celtic defender Adam Virgo says he can "guarantee" Chris Hughton would try to take Shane Duffy to the City Ground amid concern the former Brighton ace is struggling to settle at Parkhead.
Duffy's performances have come under the spotlight for Neil Lennon's side who are 19 points behind fierce rivals Rangers in the Scottish Premier League with their hopes of making it 10 titles in a row in tatters.
Virgo, who played for the Hoops during a fine career, is now a pundit for BT Sport and has been assessing Duffy's displays following his move north of the border on loan.
And while he does not see Duffy breaking back into the Brighton side under Graham Potter should he return south, he could see Forest making a stunning move for the defender.
