A loaded revolver and a deactivated Mach 10 Machine gun have been seized from homes across Merseyside.
Officers investigating firearms offences found the loaded silver revolver on Wednesday, August 1, at an address in Wheatfield Close, in Netherley.
A 28 year-old man and a 28 year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm following the find.

Later that same day, just after 7.30pm, a second warrant was executed at a property on The Causeway, in Southport.
Detectives found a deactivated Mach 10 Machine gun and component ammunition parts.
A 30 year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of firearm offences.
Both the man and women are in custody and enquiries are being carried out by the Firearms Investigation Team.
The firearms are now being forensically recovered by investigators.
Detective Inspector John Fitzgerald said: "We remain determined to remove dangerous weapons from our streets as we know they can used to cause fear and harm and devastate our communities.
"Both of these weapons have been forensically recovered and enquiries remain ongoing.
"Information about where weapons are being stored is vital to the work we do to protect our communities.
"If you have any concerns about any weapons, drugs or other illegal items being stored, carried or used, come forward directly or anonymously.
"We’ll use all available powers and working with partners to make our communities safer places to live, work and visit."
