Black Swan Theatre Company presents a double bill of new plays that look at the lengths some people will go to for friendship and the chance of new life. The plays are written by award-winning playwrights Gita Bezard and Will O’Mahony from the Emerging Writers Group.
Gita Bezard’s Girl Shut Your Mouth, directed by Jeffrey Jay Fowler, follows Katie, a girl who is going somewhere where people are friendly, the drinks are minty and no-one tells you how to live your life. Her friends, wracked with jealousy, decide to join her, but aren’t sure if they can make their way in.
Will O’Mahony directs his own play Tonsils + Tweezers which sees two best friends come up with a plan to make sure no one talks about “what they’ve been up to” at their high school reunion.
