LMS relocates to new Aberdeen headquarters

Load Monitoring Systems (LMS) has upsized its UK operations by relocating its Aberdeen headquarters.

The lifting equipment business has moved into a 7,700 sq ft office building in Aberdeen Energy Park, amid a period of sustained growth.

Having been previously based at Silverburn Place for the past three years, LMS has moved all 14 staff to the new larger premises on Claymore Drive, doubling in size its office and yard space.

Managing director Kirk Anderson said: “This move represents the exciting next phase in our development as we continue to expand and diversify into new markets.

“The additional space in the new building will support our predicted growth and the improved workshop capabilities will accommodate our expansion and increased workload as we continue to improve the support and product availability for our customers.”

The company designs, manufactures, sells and rents lifting products and load measurement equipment, in more than 42 countries, across industry sectors including oil and gas, marine, subsea, renewables, aquaculture, entertainment and construction.

International business currently represents 38% of the company turnover and continues to show growth potential, as new LMS partners and clients are being introduced on a regular basis, despite pandemic restrictions.

Sales director Millar Kennedy said: “We continuously strive to introduce new and innovative products to our sales and rental fleet, offering a wider range of support to our customers.

“The new workshop has enhanced testing and calibration capabilities, offering our customers greater flexibility with reduced lead times.”

Aberdeen Energy Park is also home to Weatherford, ICR, Innovair, Hydro Group, Namaka Subsea and Global Energy Group.
