Kane, Alli, Dier and Sissoko - Latest Tottenham injury news and expected return dates

Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to bounce back from defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Saturday afternoon when they face Brighton and Hove Albion tomorrow night.

That loss against City has proven not to be too costly for Mauricio Pochettino's side as both Manchester United and Arsenal failed to take advantage yesterday and that means the Lilywhites remain in third place.

They could be fourth later today as Chelsea are in action against Burnley, but Spurs are looking good for a top three finish and will be hot favourites to return to winning ways against a Brighton side which hasn't won since mid-March.

Tottenham supporters loved what Moussa Sissoko did following Arsenal's shock defeat

At this stage of the season having a injury free squad is key to a strong end, however, Lilywhites manager Mauricio Pochettino doesn't exactly have that privilege.

He was already without Harry Kane, Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela for the trip to the Etihad Stadium and suffered another injury blow on the eve of the fixture with the news that captain Hugo Lloris was ruled out.

Although, the Argentine remains hopeful his no.1 can return tomorrow.

"He has suffered a small muscle problem," Pochettino told reporters . "Hopefully it's not a big issue and he can be ready for Tuesday.

"It would be a risk for him to play today and that's why we decided to leave him in London."

According to the good people at PhysioRoom.com , the France international is expected to be fit for the game against Brighton, but he's the only one of five in the Spurs treatment with a return date set.

The quartet of Sissoko (groin), Kane (ankle), Lamela (hamstring) and Serge Aurier (hamstring) will all be hopeful of featuring again this season, but there's no word on who - if any - will get the chance to do so.

Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld were all substituted in the second half at the Etihad, but no injuries have been reported and it seems those changes were tactical as Spurs looked to rescue a point.
