LJ Scott still a free agent, goes unsigned by Baltimore Ravens after rookie camp

Despite earlier reports, LJ Scott is not signed to the Baltimore Ravens as initially thought, and was instead only a rookie minicamp invitee. Unfortunately, the Ravens recently revealed their list of three tryout players from the minicamp who were added to the team, none of whom were LJ Scott.

The Ravens instead opted to sign cornerback Terrell Bonds, defensive end Aaron Adeoye and offensive tackle Darrell Williams. This isn’t exactly a shocking decision, as they already have a packed backfield, but it was a bit weird since it was widely reported that Scott had signed a deal with the team. Nonetheless, LJ Scott was not listed among the player on the Ravens active roster.

Scott will now join the free agent pool and try to find a team to join before training camp. I am surprised that Scott didn’t find a more stable position as his physical attributes scream ‘short-yardage NFL back.’ Here is hoping that he ends up on the Detroit Lions. I’m sure there are a few other Michigan homers who would like to see him paired with Kerryon Johnson.
