In what is an interesting new development in the LJ Scott saga, he revealed today on his Instagram that Oliver Luck, commissioner of the XFL, has invited him to join the XFL Draft Pool.
This news comes after a bizarre summer for LJ Scott. The Youngstown, Ohio native had been signed on a training camp deal with the Cleveland Browns when reports emerged that he was mulling his retirement from football. The next day, he was released by the Browns.
On his post, LJ Scott said “I guess I’ll just start over.”
There are still a lot of unknowns about this story (did LJ willingly leave the NFL, was there just no interest from teams, etc.?) that we might never get the answers to, but as an LJ Scott fan, I’m just excited that we could get to watch him play more football. I’ll take it.
