Lizzo twerks through the lockdown blues with a little help from Adele's music

With countries placed on lockdown as the world battles the coronavirus crisis, people have been confined to their own homes in a bid to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

While some of us have found ourselves turning to reading, Netflix or home exercise, Lizzo has kept herself amused by twerking.

The Juice singer, 31, treated her 8.5 million Instagram followers to a fun clip which sees her twerking to a remix of Adele’s 2010 hit Rolling in the Deep.

Keeping things casual as she relaxed at home with no make-up and a tracksuit, Lizzo captioned the video: “I always wanted a song with Adele!”

Fans responded that they would love to see Lizzo duet with the British powerhouse singer for real, with one writing: “Speak it into existence!”

But Lizzo has been doing more during the coronavirus crisis than shaking her hips, with the star previously sending staff battling the pandemic at the Boston Medical Centre free lunch deliveries.

She then followed up her kind donation with a video, thanking staff for all they are doing in treating coronavirus patients.

“It’s Lizzo and I just wanted to say thank you so, so much for everything that you guys are doing. Y’all have really kept us safe, healthy, protected and alive,” she said.

"You guys are truly saving lives, you are heroes. So I just wanted to send you a token of my appreciation and send you a meal. And I hope that you enjoy the meal and I hope that it puts a smile on your face for the day.

“It’s the least I could do and I hope that you feel loved and I hope that you feel appreciated because you truly are."

Many celebrities have been looking to help during the pandemic.

Katherine Jenkins has announced she’s releasing her duet with Dame Vera Lynn with her war-time classic We’ll Meet Again to raise money for NHS charities.

Rita Ora has also said she has volunteered to help the NHS during this difficult time.
