Lizzo and Chris Evans are flirting again, and will they just date already? That’s it, that’s my intro.
Back in April, which feels approximately three million years ago, Lizzo built the ship of our dreams when she drunkenly slid into Chris Evans’ DMs and sent three emojis: a puff of smoke, a handball player throwing a ball, and a basketball.
I cringe just thinking about it because we’ve alllll been in Lizzo’s position. However, Chris actually replied because this is Lizzo we’re talking about. Not some random fan on the other side of the world (me).
“No shame in a drunk DM,” Chris wrote with a kissy face (!) emoji. “God knows I’ve done worse on this app lol.”
Fast forward to this month, and Lizzo posted a TikTok answering a fan’s (kinda random) question about whether or not she’s pregnant with Chris’ kid.
“This is something that I’ve been really trying to keep personal and private between me and the father of my child, but since we’re airing out all the rumours today, I’ve been sucking in,” Lizzo said to the tune of Captain America’s theme song from The First Avenger.
“We’re gonna have a little America,” she said.

The “We’re gonna have a Little America” makes me laugh so hard every time.
And then upon hearing about their future bub, Papa America replied.
In a followup TikTok a few days later, Lizzo shared a screenshot of her DMs with Chris who congratulated the singer on their pregnancy.
“Hi! Just heard about our little bundle of joy, my mother will be so happy lol,” Chris wrote.
“OMG YALL— HE SAW THE BABY BUMP! WE DID IT! NOW YALL GOTTA NAME LIL MERICA!!!!! WHAT YALL BOUTA NAME MY BABY ?!” Lizzo captioned the TikTok, which included a sneak peek of her new tune (!!!). More on that in a tick.

Waiting for my ship to sail aside, Lizzo just announced she will be releasing her first new single in two years. It’s called ‘Rumors’, and it drops August 13. That’s next Friday.
Mates, August 13 could not come sooner.
