Lizzo celebrates weight gain as she dances around bathroom in clinging bodysuit

American singer and rapper Lizzo has boasted about her her weight gain as she boldly dances in a dark brown bodysuit.

Lizzo, 33, looked incredible as she took to Instagram showing off her curves as she got down to the up-tempo track Rodeo by City Girls.

The hitmaker was happy to let her natural beauty pour out as she filmed the mirror selfie in a bathroom sporting a pair of tights and white fake nails.

In the caption, Lizzo wrote: 'I gained weight. I look TF GOODT'.

The star, whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, previously told Vogue she would prefer to be known for being 'body-normative,' rather than 'body positive'.

She said: 'I think it’s lazy for me to just say I’m body positive at this point...I would like to be body-normative. I want to normalize my body.'

The star who topped the charts with her comeback single “Rumors” with Cardi B said she's ready to continue paving the way for "girls with back fat" and "girls with bellies that hang."

She added: "We have to make people uncomfortable again, so that we can continue to change. Change is always uncomfortable, right?"

The Truth Hurts singer was inundated with messages from many of her 11.8M followers as she shared her sexy shots.

One posted: "Ugh this just made me feel better I love you!"

Another added: "Yeah you do! Body positivity !!!!!! Cause you making me feel like I’ve never felt before about weight!!!"

A third simply added: "Yes you do!"

And despite her mood boosting declarations notably at Glastonbury festival, she's herself admitted to a crisis of confidence after returning to performing again after lockdown.

She told People magazine: 'I felt like I was going to be rusty, but it's almost like second nature. I've learned to trust myself and trust my body again.

'My confidence was shook a little bit over this time, like, "Will people care? Are people going to show up?" They proved me wrong. I got my confidence back.'
