Livingston suffer double injury blow as boss reveals Jack McMillan played at Ibrox with a fractured knee cap

Livingston boss David Martindale has revealed that defender Jack McMillan suffered a fractured knee cap in the defeat to Rangers.

The right-back played the full 90 minutes but could be set to miss around three to four months because of the injury.

Meanwhile, winger Jaze Kabia could be out for a similar amount of time after the youngster sustained ankle damage that forced him off at Ibrox.

He said: “We’re waiting on the swelling to go down before Jaze gets an MRI but we’re probably looking at him missing eight weeks at best, maybe more. Jack McMillan went home and said there was a throbbing in his knee cap and it turns out he played with a fractured knee cap.

“I’ve now lost two players who were going to be massive for us down that right-hand side and players I saw as being in the matchday 18 most weeks.

“You’re looking at somewhere around 12 weeks out for both and then you add on three or four weeks when they come back to get properly fit.”

He added: “It’s obviously a huge blow. Jack’s had his x-ray it’s definitely a fracture but we just have to wait to see the full extent of the damage with Jaze.”
