Livingston neighbours scoop £1,000 each after Postcode Lottery success

A lucky street in Livingston is celebrating after a dozen neighbours were announced as the latest winners of the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Players in 12 houses in the EH54 6UT postcode each scooped £1,000, lottery bosses announced.

The neighbours, who all live in Martin Brae, were informed of their winnings on Monday, with each getting a portion of the prize pot.

The monthly subscription lottery, which costs £10 per month to play, sees postcodes around the UK entered into a prize draw.

The winners each share of a prize fund, with 32 per cent of the ticket price going to charitable causes.

Local charities and non-profits can apply for funding from the lottery, with dozens of organisations from across the Lothians benefitting every month.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson congratulated the winners, adding: “What a great way to start the week. Congratulations to our winners.”
