Livingston midfielder Scott Pittman pens new contract with hometown club

Livingston midfielder Scott Pittman has signed a two-year contract extension that will see him remain at the club until June 2023.

The 28-year-old American-born ace has featured almost 230 times for his hometown club since his arrival from Bo'ness United in February 2015.

He's been a near ever present since making the move from Junior football and will remain a key player for the Lions for at least another two years.

Speaking to the club's official website, Head of Football Operations, David Martindale, said: "I’m delighted to say that Pitz has signed on until 2023. For me, Pitz has been absolutely massive for the club over the last 5 seasons.

“He is pivotal in the way we play and such low maintenance on a daily basis whilst continuing to bring so much to the team on a regular basis.

“I brought Pitz into the club back in February 2015 having played in the centre of midfield with him previously myself at Broxburn Juniors for a few seasons.

"He has taken the jump at every level in his stride and, in my opinion, would be a player that any outside of Celtic & Rangers in this country, would be interested in if available.

"Like I say, really delighted to get Pitz over the line – letting him focus on his football while giving him a little bit security for his family.

"It always makes it that little bit sweeter when it’s a local lad playing for his local team too.”
