Livingston midfielder Scott Pittman could return from injury against Hibs

Livingston midfielder Scott Pittman could be set for a return to the squad for this evening's home clash with Hibernian.

The 29-year-old hasn't featured since October 27 due to bone bruising in his leg - having already suffered the same injury in the other leg earlier in the campaign which saw him restricted to just one substitute appearance between late August and mid-October.

The former Broxburn Athletic man has been a near permanent fixture in the side since their promotion to the Premiership when available and earlier his season became the first player in the club's history to find the net in four separate top flight seasons.

Lions boss David Martindale said: "Scott Pittman trained on Monday and did well. It's really pleasing to have him back because he's such an important player for us."

Jackson Longridge is available after serving his one-match suspension with Martindale confident his side will be able to take something from the game if they can match their performance from Sunday against Hearts.

He said: "I've got a lot of respect for Jack Ross and they're a team full of top, top players.

"Do I expect Hibs to finish the season where they are in the league now? No, I don't.

"We know what's at stake but there's also a lot at stake for Hibs. It's going to be a really difficult game but if we can play to the levels we showed on Sunday, I think we've got a really good chance of taking points from the game."
