Livingston midfielder Jason Holt to serve two game ban for reckless challenge

Livingston midfielder Jason Holt will serve an immediate two game ban after the club accepted a notice of complaint following a challenge on St Mirren's Brandon Mason during Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Buddies.

The incident, which was deemed by the Compliance Officer to be an act of serious foul play, was not picked up by any of the officials during the game. Livingston chose not to appeal the decision.

The former Hearts and Rangers man will now miss Saturday's Betfred Cup last-16 home clash against Championship side Ayr United as well as the Premiership fixture at home to Dundee United next weekend.

Holt has made 15 appearances, scoring one goal, for the Lions since his arrival in the summer.
