Livingston have issued a heartfelt thanks to supporters after more than 125 people signed up to the club’s Operating Fund.
With football in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic and the club having no income through the turnstiles for the foreseeable future, last week they set up a new Operating Fund to help with the monthly costs after being inundated with messages from supporters asking how they can help.
And they have been overwhelmed with the response.
Along with fans, both directors and staff have joined up to support the fund.
A club statement said: “A huge, huge thank you to each and every one of you who have joined up to support our Operating Fund since it was created last Tuesday.
“We now have over 125 individuals who have created standing orders.
“We can’t really begin to thank you enough for your backing at this time – it’s greatly appreciated.
“As well as fans, within that 125, there have been a number of our own coaches, staff and directors all setting up standing orders to support the fund too, which has been incredibly heartening to see.
“When all’s said and done, we’re all fans of the club and want the best for everyone.”
The club are expected to announce further details, including the full amount pledged, next week but the figure is believed to be several thousand pounds per month.
In return for a contribution, the club announced they would convert the accumulated amount to the individual as shares of the same value in June 2021 or for hospitality for a Category A game next season, sponsor’s tables or match ball sponsorship during the 2020/21 season.
