Livingston football club tells parents 'speak to your kids' after teenagers break in

Livingston Football club has taken to social media after catching a group of teenagers they say 'broke in' to the club.

The club posted on their public Twitter, showing CCTV footage of the youths wandering around inside the club and even on the pitch itself.

They warn its the fifth incident in as many weeks.

The pictures show the group of approximately 10 youths, all of whom appear to be in their early to mid teens.

Pictures continue to show them wandering through the clubs offices, walking across the pitch and taking mobile phone footage of the event.

The club is now asking the parents of the children involved to have a word with their kids as the club are having to commit time and energy to trying to stop them.

While the footage has been passed onto the police, they are imploring parents to help put an end to this rather than getting the cops involved.

Posting on their Twitter, the club said:

“The club is annoyed to report that yet again we have had a break in at the club from a group of teenagers over the weekend. This has been the 5th time in as many weeks this has happened. We have reported the matter to the police and handed them all CCTV footage of those involved.

“We really don't want to be reporting kids to the police as the last thing we want is any of them getting charged or reported to the children's panel but we’ve been left with little choice.

“Please look at the footage & if you know the kids involved, have a word with as it’s starting to cost a lot of time & energy trying to stop this happening but for the sake of the kids involved it has to stop before they get hurt breaking in or have the police chapping their door.

“We are a community club and want to help and support the community but this is the last thing we want to be doing

“So please, have a look and if you know the kids involved alert their parents and hopefully we can stop it that way rather than wasting police time.”
