Livingston FC announced their new kits for the upcoming season - and for the first time in the club's history the men's and women's team united for the kit launch.
Daniel Barden and Max Stryjek modelled the goalkeeping kits with Jack Fitzwater, Nicky Devlin and Adam Lewis in the home and away kits for the 2021/22. They were joined by Livingston Women's captain Vicky Wood and team-mate Natasha Frew, who helped to unveil the away kit.
The club have gone back to a primarily black home kit for the first time since their promotion to the Premier League four seasons ago.
Speaking to the club's official website, Wood said being part of the event shows the continued growth of the women's game.
Livingston launched a senior women's team in time for the 2020 season, but they have been unable to play competitive fixtures since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Wood commented: "I have been involved in the game for such a long time and it’s fantastic to now finally see the growth in the women’s game.
“Being invited to, and involved in the kit launch was a real privilege. The men’s team players and staff were both professional and welcoming and I feel privileged and thankful for the opportunity. I look forward to the rest of our team being given the chance to experience similar situations in the future.
The new kit is absolutely stunning – both home and away. I love the colours, the design, and the feel of the kit. I’ve been looking forward to today’s launch so I can share this with the team, and even more so, I look forward to us being able to wear the new kit on match days.”
