Livingston gaffer Gary Holt heaped praise on Jack McMillan and believes the versatile 22-year-old is starting to show his true potential.
The Bathgate lad has switched between both full-back positions this term and has put in a string of excellent displays wherever he has been asked to line up and chipped in with an assist on Saturday.
His 19 appearances for the club this term already surpass his total in each of the past two seasons as he continues to develop into a crucial member of the Lions squad.
Holt commented: “He played his proper position today and I thought he was exceptional.
“He came into the team in the early part of the season and did really well. We’ve had to work on certain aspects of his fitness levels and dealing with the games and the lead up to them and how to prepare properly and he was excellent.”
He added: “I actually thought our whole back line was excellent.
“Yes, we lost two poor goals and we can look at that but we stood up to the test and that gave the players in front of them to then go and implement the game plan that we had worked on during the week.
“For the effort and commitment, given that it was the third game in a week after a three week break, I’m delighted.”
