Livingston captain Alan Lithgow insists he doesn’t care about his side being tipped for the drop – and says he has no doubts they will prove the pundits wrong once again.
The Lions lost several key players over the summer with Liam Kelly, Declan Gallagher, Craig Halkett and Shaun Byrne all leaving but Lithgow is confident the new arrivals will buy into the Livi way and ensure they remain in the top flight.
He said: “Every team has their own make-up and it shows. We know we need to work harder than a lot of other teams. We are not going to go about our business quietly.
“People have been writing us off for a while now and we just keep proving them wrong. We know how good we are, what we can do and the teams we can take points from.
“We know we are not going to be challenging Celtic and Rangers for titles. We know who we are and where we are.
“Hamilton keep digging in and staying in this league so I guess we can use them as some sort of role model.”
