Trialist striker Salim Kouider-Aissa has impressed Livingston boss Gary Holt but the gaffer stopped short of saying whether the former Queen’s Park man would win a deal with the Premiership club.
The 24-year-old netted 17 times with the Spiders last term and the Lions could be hoping they unearth another lower league gem after several successful signings from outside the Premiership over recent seasons.
He said: “He’s got good technical ability and knows where the goal is. You can see the attributes that he’s got and why he’s scored so many goals but we are only three or four days into pre-season so it’s always hard to gauge where someone is at.
“If you’re on trial somewhere, come in fit and give yourself as good a chance as you can. He’s done well this week and it’s one we’ll monitor.
“You can see why he’s scored goals but when you’re talking about Queen’s Park to our level, he needs to keep doing it and improving we’ll see how we go over the coming days.”
