Livingston boss Gary Holt says he was still 'buzzing' on the drive home after win over Motherwell

Livingston boss Gary Holt admits he took extra time to reflect on his side's tremendous performance in their 1-0 over Motherwell at the weekend.

While he's usually thinking ahead to the next game barely half an hour after the final whistle, he said he was still 'buzzing' on the drive home to Kilmarnock.

The Lions produced a magical display as they had 16 shots and 14 corners against the third-placed visitors, who were restricted to a single shot and corner all game. Only a string of fine saves from Motherwell goalie Mark Gillespie kept the scoreline respectable - but Livi were able to claim the three points thanks to Aaron Taylor-Sinclair's 67th minute header.

Speaking to the West Lothian Courier, Holt said: "You don't ever really get to enjoy it after a game. You get 20 minutes after the game where you're a wee bit euphoric and then you're on to concentrating on the plan for the next game.

"Saturday night, I was still absolutely buzzing sitting in the car going home chatting about the game with my son. Going over parts of the game and how well it worked and how well the things that we'd been working on in training came through.

"Seeing the fruition of all that was great, not just for me but the players as well. It was pleasing to see and I think it was an accumulation of performances because we'd been playing really well of late."
