Joel Nouble is set to be recalled to Livingston in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old forward has lit up the Championship during a loan spell at Arbroath after signing for the Lions in the summer with a string of impressive performances.
The former Aldershot man was named September's Championship Player of the Month. He has found the net five times in 17 appearances for the club, as well as producing a number of assists as the part-timers sit just two points off the top of the table. They've lost just twice in 15 league games as they bid for a shock play-off place.
Livi boss David Martindale hinted that the Lions could send a player to the Red Litchies as part of the agreement of Nouble’s return – but that could be the only transfer activity out of the club in the winter transfer window.
Jack Hamilton could be the most likely to head in the opposite direction. The 21-year-old striker has yet to start for Livi this season having netted eight times in 15 games during a loan spell at Arbroath last season.
Speaking to the West Lothian Courier, Martindale commented: “You always want to get your business done early if you can. We’ve got big Joel coming back from Arbroath.
“I’ve spoken to Dick Campbell about that and he knows the situation. Joel has done everything asked of him at Arbroath and will add to our squad.
“That could possibly lead to someone heading in the other direction but, I’m not keen to move anyone out of the door.
“I’ll not stand in anyone’s way if they say they want a move for more game-time but I’m not actively looking to move anyone on and there will probably only be one, maybe two, coming in.”
