Livingston announce signing of French-Tunisian attacker Aymen Souda

Livingston have added to their attacking options with the signing of Aymen Souda on a two-year contract.

The 26-year-old French-Tunisian was part of the club's summer training camp in Budapest and set up one of the goals in last night's 2-0 friendly win over Championship outfit Alloa Athletic.

The club have an option to extend the deal to a third year and it is hoped all the paperwork will be processed in time for Souda, who last played for Dunarea Calarasi in the Romanian top flight, to be available for Saturday's Betfred Cup clash away at Falkirk.

Livi boss Gary Holt told the club's website: "Davie (Martindale) and I are delighted to bring Aymen to the club. He spent a week training with us over in Budapest and did very well.

“We feel he has a lot to offer and hopefully the fans see this over the coming months. He is very different to what we have at the club and will bring a new dimension to our style of play.

“Davie has been working on the signing of Aymen for a few months now via the player’s agent, and in our opinion is a fantastic signing for Livingston FC. As said above, he spent a week in Budapest with us and impressed with his style of play and his attitude towards everything we are doing at the football club.

“We are awaiting Aymen’s International Clearance and we hope that it is through for Saturday all going well.”
