'Living the dream' - Nottingham Forest star makes statement of intent amid Newcastle United links

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall has made a statement of intent amid rumours surrounding his future.

Sunday saw transfer links between Premier League giants and the Forest midfielder surface, striking fear into the hearts of Reds fans.

Worrall is a fans' favourite having grown up in the local area and come through the academy to become one of the stars of the first team.

But with success comes interest from other clubs and rumour has it Newcastle United are one of the clubs sniffing around the talented 22-year-old.

Forest, who have started the season excellently, sitting second in the Championship, will be desperate to keep hold of their key man, though.

And it might not be much of a fight if Worrall's social media post on Sunday is anything to go by.

Amid links with Newcastle, the young midfielder took to Twitter to tell Forest fans just how much representing the club means to him.

Accompanying a picture celebrating the club's latest win, a 1-0 victory over Brentford on Saturday, Worrall said: "Every time I pull on a Forest shirt I play like its my last, very lucky to be living the dream."

It seems the Reds midfielder has no intention of going anywhere any time soon.
