Peaceful Death is holding "Death And The City", an online seminar based on research about the care of terminally-ill patients and the death of poor people living in the Klong San area of Bangkok, on Saturday from 2-4pm.

Dr Prachatip Kata, a lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Faculty of Social Science, Kasetsart University, will address palliative care and end of life for city-dwellers and share what we are going to face during the last stages of life and what we can do to help each other.

Wayo Assawarungruang, aka Mor Geng, a physician-cum-MP from the Move Forward Party, will give his perspectives on the issue and offer guidelines on how to develop a better quality of dying for Bangkok's poor.

Other speakers include Assoc Prof Dr Pavika Sriratanaban from Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Political Science, who initiated the Rest in Peace study; and Siriporn Phromwong aka Khru Am from the Klong Toey Dechung group, who is a co-ordinator in the Klong Toey community during the Covid-19 situation. Acting as moderator will be TV host Chonlanat Koaykul.

The seminar will be streamed live via facebook.com/peacefuldeath2011. Peaceful Death is a group of people whose mission is to promote wellness and a peaceful death.
