LiveScore to stream every Champions League game free to air in Ireland

Football fans in Ireland will be able to watch every Champions League match for the next three years free on the LiveScore app.

The soccer score update site, founded in 1998, will carry 137 matches each season within Ireland free-to-air - 104 of those will be streamed exclusively on LiveScore.

The 33 other games are available on other outlets, including RTÉ, after the national broadcaster extended its coverage of the UEFA competition until 2024 last week.

The package also includes live broadcast of the UEFA Super Cup

The landmark deal ensures football fans in Ireland will be able to watch every single UCL fixture via the LiveScore app for iOS and Android. Users will be able to watch the matches on their mobile or tablet devices, with the further option to ‘cast’ the action to their TV screens.

Last month, the Global sports media business named Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo as the firm's official global brand ambassador.

UEFA’s marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein said: “UEFA is delighted to welcome LiveScore as the new broadcaster of UEFA Champions League rights in the Republic of Ireland. We are excited to see the innovative coverage it will deliver and to bring comprehensive coverage of the best of European club football to Irish fans for free.”
