Liverpool youngster Owen Beck is close to terminating his season-long loan at Primeira Liga side Famalicao, just 46 days after joining the club.
The ECHO understands that Beck, who made two substitute appearances for the Reds' senior side last campaign and completed a move to the Portuguese outfit in July, is now close to completing a switch to League One side Bolton for the remainder of the campaign.
The Welsh youth international, who is the great-nephew of Liverpool and Wales icon Ian Rush and was a key member of Barry Lewtas' squad for the academy last term as they reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League, has decided a move back to England would serve his development better after a number of on-field changes at the Portuguese side.

Despite Famailicao getting their season underway earlier this month, the defender is yet to feature for Rui Pedro Silva's side and was an unused sub for their opening three games of the season. Beck was then not included in the matchday squad for the club's victory over Santa Clara on Saturday.
It is understood the left-back visited Bolton's training ground earlier this week after flying back from Portugal and spoke to manager Ian Evatt, who is keen to add the highly-talented full-back to his ranks. Evatt's 3-4-3 system, which relies heavily on the creativity of both wing-backs, is viewed as a key aspect in the 20-year-old favouring a move to the Greater Manchester-based club at this moment in time.
FIFA rules note a player can be registered with no more than three clubs over the course of one campaign. So, even despite the short-stint at Famalicao, Beck should have no issues with registration ahead of Thursday's transfer deadline.
Close friend and academy team-mate Conor Bradley is currently enjoying a fine start to his season-long loan at the University of Bolton Stadium as he's relished the opportunity of impressing in England's third-tier weekly, scoring two goals and providing a further two assists in nine senior outings for the Whites.
Beck will join Sepp van Den Berg in heading out of the Anfield doors on a senior loan in the penultimate days of the window, and the duo could be joined by academy midfielder Jake Cain who is exploring potential loan exits away from Merseyside this summer after a fine spell at Newport County last term.
