Liverpool vs Wolves lineups: Starting XI, confirmed team news and latest injury list for Premier League today

Liverpool remain without Roberto Firmino for tonight’s clash with Wolves, as Jurgen Klopp names an unchanged lineup.

The forward has missed the last two matches with a sore knee and his absence means Diogo Jota will continue to deputise against his former club between Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Meanwhile, the champions’ defensive woes have eased. Ozan Kabak overcame injury to play the full 90 minutes against RB Leipzig in midweek as the Reds marched into the Champions League quarter-finals.

Fabinho was able to return to midfield, with Liverpool's more resolute display unlikely to have been a coincidence.

The security he offers as one of the best in the world in that job, according to Klopp, has allowed other players to flourish.

Not least Thiago Alcantara, who has struggled in the Premier League since arriving in September from Bayern Munich due to after effects of Covid-19 and a knee injury.

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has no fresh injury or suspension concerns. Daniel Podence and Marcal (both groin) will once again be absent while Raul Jimenez continues his recovery from a fractured skull.

The Mexican striker has recently been given the green light to resume training with his team-mates and is wearing a protective headband during drills - although a return is still some way off.

Wolves starting XI (3-4-3): Patricio, Boly, Coady, Saiss, Semedo, Neves, Moutinho, Jonny, Neto, Jose, Traore

Wolves squad from: Patricio, Ruddy, Hoever, Ait-Nouri, Coady, Jonny, Boly, Semedo, Saiss, Kilman, Richards, Lonwijk, Neves, Gibbs-White, Vitinha, Moutinho, Dendoncker, Otasowie, Cundle, Neto, Jose, Silva, Traore.

Liverpool starting XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Mane.

Doubts: Firmino

Liverpool squad from: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Fabinho, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Thiago, Keita, Salah, Mane, Jota, Adrian, N Williams, R Williams, Davies, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Shaqiri, Firmino, Origi.
