Liverpool XI vs Sheffield United: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for Premier League

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will make a late call on whether goalkeeper Alisson Becker can make his return against Sheffield United this weekend.

The Brazilian has missed the last three games with a shoulder injury and with understudy Adrian having looked far from convincing the Reds will be desperate to have him back between the sticks after he returned to light training this week.

Klopp is also waiting fitness updates on midfielders Thiago Alcantara (knee), Naby Keita and centre-back Joel Matip (both of whom had minor knocks) as all missed the midweek Champions League victory over Ajax.

Fabinho deputised at centre-back in that fixture, with Virgil van Dijk unlikely to play again this season after suffering a serious knee injury in last weekend’s Merseyside derby.

Captain Jordan Henderson was a doubt for the Sevilla clash but came on as a substitute at half-time and appeared to come through unscathed.

Record signing Rhian Brewster could make his full debut for Sheffield United against his former club.

The 20-year-old striker, who joined the Blades earlier this month in a deal that could be worth up to £23million, made his first appearance for Chris Wilder's side as a second-half substitute in the draw with Fulham.

Liverpool predicted XI: Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Fabinho, Robertson, Keita, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane, Firmino
