Liverpool XI vs Preston: Confirmed lineup, team news and injury latest for Carabao Cup game today

Liverpool rotate their starting XI as they take on Championship Preston in the Carabao Cup tonight.

Atletico Madrid and Manchester United could not handle the in-form Reds and now Preston stand in their way in a Carabao Cup fourth-round tie.

Despite their comfortable win on Sunday, which allowed them to take their foot off the gas for the final half hour, Liverpool are set to recall several fringe players for the trip to Deepdale.

Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were among those who started in the previous round’s 3-0 win at Norwich - and return tonight.

Naby Keita misses out after being taken off on a stretcher in the win over United, suffering only bruising that is being assessed on a daily basis.

Harvey Elliott (ankle) and Thiago Alcantara (calf) are unavailable. Caoimhin Kelleher (illness) is out with James Milner (hamstring) now missing for several weeks.

Liverpool XI: Adrian; Williams, Gomez, Matip, Tsimikas; Jones, Morton, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Minamino, Blair, Origi.

Subs: Hughes, Pitaluga, Konate, Firmino, Jota, Dixon-Bonner, Phillips, Bradley, Beck.

Preston XI: Rudd; Rafferty, Van den Berg, Lindsay, Hughes, Cunningham; Ledson, McCann, Potts; Barkhuizen, Maguire.

Subs: Iversen, Bauer, Storey, Huntington, Earl, Whiteman, Johnson, Sinclair, Riis.
