Liverpool XI vs Napoli: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, latest injuries for Champions League match

Mohamed Salah will be available for Liverpool’s crucial Champions League meeting with Napoli tonight after overcoming an ankle injury.

The Egyptian was only fit enough to be named on the bench as the Reds earned a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

However, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that his No.11 has trained well since, and should be ready for a return to the starting XI.

“Mo looks really good. He looked really good in training the day before yesterday especially, after the game. It was really good,” he said.

“Yesterday we didn’t do too much, so we will see today - but I’m not worried about it.”

Long-term absentees aside, the Reds have an otherwise clean bill of health going into Wednesday evening’s game at Anfield.

“Good, good. No long-term injuries – no Joel [Matip], no Clyney, no Paul [Glatzel],” Klopp added.

“Naby was a little bit [ill] after the game, he trained yesterday but all the others look fine.”

Matip is now entering a sixth week on the sidelines as a result of a knee problem.

But Liverpool will soon know more about how the issue has responded to rest, with a scan pencilled in for the coming days.

He continued: “This week we have kind of a reassessment scan where you have a look at how it improved, but there’s nothing you can really do a lot, you have to wait until the body is doing the job pretty much.

“And we will see that, then we’ll know more. He looks fine but is not able to play and not able to train at the moment.”

Predicted XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane.
