Liverpool XI vs Everton: Confirmed team news, starting lineup, latest injury list for Merseyside derby today

Mohamed Salah is only fit enough for the Liverpool bench to face Everton after the forward missed training on Wednesday.

The Egyptian’s absence from last week’s behind-closed-doors friendly win over Blackburn Rovers was described by club sources as little more than a precautionary measure.

However, fears over his availability for the Reds’ return to Premier League action on Sunday were further stoked by the latest round of training images from Melwood.

Andy Robertson, who also missed the 6-0 victory over Rovers, looked to have played a full part in Wednesday's session, but he has been left out altogether.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was forced off prematurely against Tony Mowbray’s side with a knock, but is also among the subs.

Everton: Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Digne, Gordon, Andre Gomes, Davies, Iwobi, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin

Subs: Baines, Sigurdsson, Bernard, Stekelenburg, Kean, Martina, Virginia, Baningime, Branthwaite

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, van Dijk, Matip, Milner, Henderson, Fabinho, Keita, Minamino, Firmino, Mane

Subs: Wijnaldum, Lovren, Salah, Gomez, Adrian, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Origi, Elliott, Williams

Referee: Mike Dean
